Day Two: Two States, Stinky Feet, and a Basket Hit!

Hello from the Palmetto state! Contrary to the very attractive picture seen to the left, day two was an absolutle blast. As noted in our mid day update we started the morning in Charlotte playing a great course, Hornets Nest DGC.

After Charlotte we decided to head south to Winthrop University to get settled in and play a "practice" round in preparation of our day there tomorrow. We will post an extensive review of the course but the quick and dirty: the course, which runs around Winthrop's athletic facilities, is awesome. The course has great variety, a little danger (see; the lake that ate two of our discs [Will's Firebird and Drew's Boss]), and lots of local "flavor." Also, the athletic facilities at Winthrop, along with Winthrop Lake are really really nice!

Today at the end of the round, we threw a couple of extra holes and had the most exciting throw of our trip thus far, Will hit the basket on hole 5 at Winthrop missing an ace by inches. Here is the Video:

We did not keep score in the afternoon round but expect the scores to be much lower tomorrow as compared to our moring round today (hornets nest gave us the business). The overall standings are as follows:

Drew-+21
Will-+36
Louis-+38
Zac-+40

The plan for tomorrow is to get a quick round at Winthrop and then head out to Augusta, GA to the International Disc Golf Center where we will be spending the night. We will update throughout the day tomorrow!

P.S. Here is a video of the winning CTP throw on 17 by Drew:
